View Full Version : Speaking of guns, new to the collection
After searching for awhile, I bought this on Monday, SIG SP2022. I was considering a Glock, but this fit my big ass gorilla hands better, and has easily interchangeable grips, and an integral rail for a light or laser sight. I'm itching until I can pick it up!!!!

Nice gat. I have a Beretta .40, it's a nice piece, but inaccurate as a mofo. I like Sigs, my dad has one of their 22 pistols, thing is bad ass.

The 226s are sooo nice, my buddy has one and that thing just feels so perfect. There are a couple of good deals on CPO 9mm 226s on gun broker right now, like $500 for grade 1s.

Gun stores :p
Try checking out places like Turner for pre-owned guns. You can find some good deals that way.
Then there are also the store/ranges. They usually have a pretty good selection too. Iron Sights is right up in your neck of the woods near Pendleton.

I've been wanting to go to set up a range day for awhile, I was supposed to do a tactical shotgun course next month out at burro canyon with some law enforcement people. We have a licensed instructor on her, she needs to set up a day, Becca?????

I would love it. I really want a pistol but would like to shoot a few before I decide on one. I have a shotgun but its mainly for trap and hunting, which I hardly do either of anymore.
Well, you can rent several guns to see what you prefer, revolver, semi auto, heavy, light, big or little caliber, if you are going to use it for home defense, I would recommend either a .40S&W or .45ACP loaded with Federal Hydra-Shok
As far as a shotgun, not so good for home defense unless you can get the drop on them, they are long so in close quarters, they have something to grab, a hunting shotgun is even worse unless you are going to poke them from 4 feet away. I have a Mossberg 500A riot gun with pistol grip stock and 22 inch barrel thats more of a tactical weapon.

haha! Yeah my Remington 870 Wingmaster would do nothing but "poke" them. It has a full choke barrel and I don't remember the length but it's long as hell.
So you can sneak right up to the quail and knock them out of their nest with the barrel

Yay Sig .40! I have a P229 .40 and I love it love it love it.
We do need to go shoot. We were going to take Emily (Kerry's Emily) to help get her over her fear of rifles and shotguns. And to have her shooting pistols better than Kerry, when he gets back.
