Places to rent photography gear?

So my friend would like to try useing different cameras and lenses before he buys to see what he might liek or is even capable of useing and I have heard that there are places to rent gear at but I don't know where those places are or how to go about finding them so can someone please tell me where and how to contact them. thank you.

might try Georges Camera shop in North Park also or Nelson's Photo in Little Italy

we have a camera store up here that does rentals, called CAI Camera. There's probably similar small mom-and-pop shops down there.

Samys is another big one up here.
