Audi A3 Wagon Advice

So the Misses wants a 06-08 A3 wagon. Well either that or a 06-08 passat wagon. What types of things should I be looking for. Any other advice while looking at the A3?

You mean A4? A3 comes in hatchback only, unless I am missing something.

hatchback is 3 doors. Wagon is 5 doors. The A3 has 5 doors, or 4 doors and rear hatch entry.

I really like the Passat personally ;)

the A3 is nice, but is a tad small

the 5 door GTI is a better deal then the A3

and i agree with Lon, the GTI is the best bang for the buck, though i still like the A3, i heard they will have the 2.0T DSG with quattro.

The 2006 A3 is 2.0T with the DSG "auto", isn't it?

The Misses prefers the styling of the A3 vs the Passat or GTI. Even though the A3 and the GTI are practically the same car (use the same chasiss and engine).

styling is completely different story

i do like the A3 alot ... but if i had to choose, the Passat Wagon would win for me ;)

for the price, id take the 5 door GTI

The Jetta Sportwagen is supposed to be here soon. Its roomier than the A3 and cheaper than the Passat and looks nice.
