I walk out to my car after the gym to see a bright orange post it note stuck to my window that says "Hit your car, sorry! Please call or leave a message -Justin" So with my heart in my stomach I slowly walk around my car and don't see anything. I was underground, so I pulled out into the sun, parked and walked around five more times. Still nothing. I called the guy and left a message, but in the mean time I am like this:

That would have been my assumption if I were at work, but I definitely didn't know the person at this number and no one knew that I was going to the gym.

If he did hit you, which would suck for you, I greatly respect the guy for leaving his contact info for you and letting you know he hit your car.

Maybe he meant "I hit it" like he stuck it in your exhaust pipe?
:D

Wow. Someone who left a note. That's good to see. I wonder how many people actually have the integrity to do the right thing when no one is watching.
In Coronado, a woman backed ONto my SHO. Her back bumper went up over my bumper and compressed my springs until my front end was touching the ground. When she pulled forward, it ripped my license plate frame off and flung it about 40 feet onto the sidewalk. When she got out of her Jeep, I asked if she was drunk. She said, "No, why?" When I explained that I just wastched her back over my car, she denied ever touching it. I said, "Wait here," and went and got my plate frame. "How did this get over there? Do you think I remove my plates when I park?" She said, "Well, here's my card, if you want to make a big deal out of it." And then she walked off. I really wish I had thought to piss in her gas tank.
I am sure he did it to alot of cars and the number is his X girlfriends:p:p

Maybe check for door dings as well. Someone left a note on my windshield once saying that they hit my car but at first I really didnt see any damage what so ever so I thought I was okay. When I washed the car that weekend I noticed a fatty door ding in the driver side door.:( Cost me 110.00 to get it popped out. Just a thought you might want to check out

Door dings FTL! At a New Beetle meet about a year ago, my door was dinged not once but TWICE! And I had just said, "don't worry about it, just don't let it happen AGAIN".

a friend of mine drove a nice 190E to school, a construction worker backed into his car and broke the corner signal. left a note and fixed the damages.
maybe people do this for nice looking cars because otherwise they would feel really bad? i would hope so.
