new exhaust

well, i finally got an exhaust. Just catback for now with 2.25" piping, X-pipe, and magnaflow mufflers. Non resonated. All i gotta say is that its still too damn quiet. It drones a bit on the lower RPMs but muffles out at cruising speed. Not good enough. I want my ears to vibrate when i floor it damn it! I think its the cats that kill most of the sound. Well, i'll show up late for Rezie's BBQ at Genesis so ya'll stop on by and let me know if you can hear it while i do a pass cuz i think it sounds close to stock. :tdown:

how is having an after market exhaust grounds for voiding your warranty, rick? i can see them refusing to repair/look at anything exhaust related but the warranty? :confused: oh btw i have your shorts. give them to you next time i see you :tup:

You'd be surprised the kind of BS they can pull. Ive been through it many of times with my MKIV jetta.

I understand, but your Jetta was somewhat "highly modified". Not just a single exhaust. They won't do shit.

ps, i agree about the full exhaust system. that wouldnt void warranty. maybe an intake or chip, but not that. anyways... where are the pictures of the exhaust!
