I was driving down the 15, just north of Scripps Poway Pkwy and I noticed that the left lane was different. I'm not sure if they added a lane, or if they did something to the existing lane, but it looks like it is 1/2 covered in new slick tar or sealant.
But that's not really the problem. There are a few drainage grates, that don't sit flush with the road. This makes some really uncomfortable bumps in the left side of the left lane. They were pretty bad in a stock Civic, so I'm sure they're REALLY bad in any lowered car, and could possibly damage a body kit.
The first one I hit was about 500 feet north of the SPP exit.
Be careful!
Yeah......it looks like they are trying to add a lane for the Mira Mesa exit.
Also, for those who take Scripps Poway Pkwy to the 15, beware of radar traps. I have seen cops set up under the 15 overpass aiming East up the hill on Scripps Poway Pkwy. You come down the hill and BAM! Seen it twice in the last 3 weeks.

What they really need to do is repave Scripps Poway Parkway all way from Spring Canyon all the way down to Mercy Road and Black Mtn. Been living in Scripps since before Scripps Poway Parkway opened and that stretch of road is butchered.

thats my daily drive... once i pass that overpass going to ted williams freeway i merge going to
the inside lane. thats shit is some scary shit. you have two different traction on your tires and you're 3 feet away from the divider plus the rain drainage not helping at all.

Yeah, me and my buddy were driving through there in his truck one time and the dips almost pulled us into the divider. Its funny to watch everyone immediately switching out of that lane after it happens.

I hate that stretch of the 15. Lots of dirt (windshield cracked) and the temporary patch on the left lane is a case of attemted murder. But it seems they have somewhat fixed the drain covers. They were sitting so deep that you needed a parachute to get to the bottom.
