Pages are taking forever to open and the site overall is crawling compared to other forums...any reason why? :(

Working pretty fast for me. Are other sites working fast for you?
Could be your connection someplace between where you are and where the SCE server is. You in Japan already?

Its slow for me all the time.. thats why i've been postig less.. it take atleast 45-50 seconds to have a page load, by the time it loads.. i'm done with waiting and i just close out the whole site.
it's been like this for the past two months for me.. and i hate it

Can you do a "Tracert socaleuro.com" and post it
also a simple "ping socaleuro.com"

If you find it takes a long time, look at the bottom of any page in the black bar and it lists "Page generated in X.XXX seconds", and copy and paste that into the page. That will help determine if it's a server issue or a connection issue.
Also, do what Lon says and post up the ping and traceroute results.

Its probably the AJAX dependent features like the chat box. The page itself is generated fairly quickly but the network is sometimes a little shady. Having a whole bunch of extra http requests can make it seem like the site is slow when its really only waiting on some little extra to load. Your browser will actually play some part in that issue.

i duno how to do that
In Windows, select Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. This will give you a window like the one below.
Enter the word tracert, followed by a space, then the domain name.

ICMP and Tracert is blocked here on our unrestricted network at work so I can't run it. For some reason, SCE loads REALLY slow towards the end of the progress bar. Are azian.com and SCE on the same server? I'm assuming the same since they translate into the same address. Not sure what it is though with SCE that is causing the lag.

We also have a bunch of external javascript loading on the page. A couple things come from different domains. Those sometimes slow things down because they have to load.
Really, you can find a whole bunch of basic stuff that needs to be fixed just by using yslow and firebug.

Lon, still having issues here at work.
I don't think the problem was Chatbox because it lags even on the portal page.
