So according to this article a stick will only be offered in a fwd A4 and not with quattro. Pretty lame indeed

i wanted a 2.0T A4 Avant s-line manual ... unless they give us the 7spd DSG

Right now it is a 6 speed zf transmission so not even a DSG

I thought they said that the A4 2.0t would available with manual and Quattro, but the 3.2 would only be available with the quick shift ZF. They have no plans for a DSG in the A4 right now. The coolest car at the launch was the 3.2TDI, the thing is fast and probably faster off the line than a V8 S4. They also had the new 1.8t's and 2.0TDIs at the event. I didn't get into the 1.8t but the 2.0TDI was pretty nice.
I will have to get the info out to see what it says about the manual and Quattro.

Audi doesn't have pricing yet, at least they didn't have it last week on the press trip.
Sadly, we will both be waiting a while to see an A4 with a DSG.

No worries guys, I'm sure they're developing it for the new platform and we will get it in later models.
and btw, isn't Audi's DSG called "S-Tronic"

yes it is call s-tronic but DSG is quicker to type :)
