Go talk to Frank. I would think they would offer the S-tronic considering the raving reviews that gearbox has gotten. It would seem odd to offer only a regular auto. At least if there is no true manual the S-tronic is a good option for those wanting to do some shifting.

According to the Edmunds link Lon post a week or so ago:
"Audi's highly praised "S-Tronic" DSG will not be offered in the 2009 A4"

and I just checked the pdf it says tiptronic too

edit to add: I reply slow(had to find the edmunds link)

and I think theyre saving the DSG for "sport" models like the S4

which ive read all over the place, only the "auto-auto" will be offered

DSG is not going to be offered, unless they change it down the line

Guess we'll have to see. Would that change whether or not you wanted to get one? When are they supposed to be available to order officially?

S-tronic is standard, you have to read the colums at the top to see what transmission they are talking about.

S-tronic is standard
in the order guide, it uses the keyword Tiptronic ... and it mentions once the S-tronic ...

is it DSG or slushbox? which is it?
