Any B5 S4 owners out there that can give me any input on engine longevity beyond 100k? I know that a B5 s4 should only be 7-8 years old max...so there may not be that many people over 100k yet...
Just trying to get an idea of what maintenance services I should be prepared for. Beyond the usual turbo, water pump, timing belt, Tb boot, etc..that is prone to go bad. How bout the engine internals? I know turbo replacement is fairly common on higher mileage s4's, but anyone had to rebuild their engine?
Thanks in advance guys!

Well... Since my S4 has the highest mileage on this board--I can speak for everyone else. If you take care of it, it will last. I have over 100K on my RS4 clutch and I am still cutting 1.8-1.9 60ft times at the track and still pulling low 8.3's in the 1/8th with all 4 tires still having a hard time getting traction.

Just do regular oil changes, tranny fluid changes, diff fluid changes--yadda yadda and so on..

im also searchin for an S4, and earlier while doing my routine research lol, i came to the conclusion that its prob more cost efficient "theoretically" because if S4's are known for blowin turbos and the expensive timing/water pump, why not just find a semi high mileaged one for around 10-12k thats had AT LEAST the normal maintenaced done.
then with the extra 5-6k u woulda saved instead of buying a lower mileaged one that hasnt done the major repairs(or if u can be graced with finding one thats low mileaged and has the turbo's etc. done thats under 15k)

as far as the longeveity of those motors, internally... they go strong =)
I'm nearing 180k on my stock 2.8 block which iirc is the same as the S4..
