lookie what I just bought!

Its no VW but it is cool., glad I didnt buy that GLI because I found this one on saturday for really, really cheap. The guy brought it in to my friends shop for a noise in the top end. He quoted him an entire engine. He had his eye on a 993 cab and this gave car gave him the excuse so he just dumped this like a hot rock.
Its an 86 911 targa black on black, Turbo seats, 3.2 L six, Fuchs alloys. my guess is a rocker let go so I'll pull the valve cover and have a looksie. but If it gives me a reason to pull the heads, its getting motorsport style heads and cams maybe some piston/cyls too!

SSHHHHH $4000 SSSSHHHH, its wierd because I was going through the car and found the owners manual and the warranty, maintaince book. I dropped my Jaw when I found out that this car was not only serviced at my work (Circle Porsche) It was also preped and sold there too! It has factory optioned 40% limited slip (noticed that when I tried to push it in to a parking stall in the garage)and sport dampners. what a weird trip.

well i pulled it in the shop and yanked the motor today, #5 rod bearing was completely missing! i found most of it on the magnetic drain plugs. so it is stripped down to the case and next week its off to my buddy at Performance Developments for machining. Im goning to have the crank knife edged and everything balanced to race specs, have the heads and intakes flowed and the injectors blueprinted. and Some nasty cams too, with all raceware fasteners! the cyl. and pistons are fine and just need new rings (lucky for me as the new set is close to $4000) this motor is gonna be nice. I'll take some pics on monday.
