Last night was our companies party. The owner loves to throw us a catered party in a nice place...and give away masses of kool shit. This year there was Tivo's, DVD players, Digital Cameras, Nintendo's, Xbox, Ps2's, TVs both regular and 4 plasma's, Lakers tickets, and for the finale a Motorcycle!
Basicly you get a ticket for each year you have been with the company since the new owner has been there (up to 5). I had 4. If your ticket was drawn and you already got your prize, you had the choice to switch them out- you cant keep both.
So initially, I won a DVD player. Then I was drawn again (much to everyones dismay) and I got a Fujifilm FinePix E510 Digital Camera. I was drawn again later but I declined- it was one of the Nintendo thingies and something else...
The food was good...the entertainment took a bit long from eveyones accounts today...but I didnt notice- I was part of it. I decided to be one of 8 or so to be hypnotized in front of everyone :p ...eh. I'll let Net or Russ take it from there.
Anyone else have kool company parties??

Thanks for inviting me Gena
I had a great time. I can't wait to scan my Cartoon.
as for as you being hypnotized, did someone say Sleep?
lol
don't worry you didn't do anything stupid. You just took a nice nap.
I wish my dealership would do something like yours.
Damn Gena your company always has killer prizes. And you always seem to win the good ones too.
They had ours at the Queen Mary this year. We got to go on the tour then sat down for some great food. The raffle prizes were pretty good too. I won $50. We also got to get off work @ 10:30 am. :D

My company party was pretty laid back. It was at the Assistant Director's house in San Marcos (a freaking mansion on a large piece of property). It was a potluck and BYOB. I got a nice buzz right when the party started at 2pm, but had to sober up for the 45 minute drive home. It was cool seeing the "higher ups" drink some wine and relax. As far as gifts, we did a silly white elephant game and I got this lame planter. I think that will be going in the "garage sale" pile at the in-laws place.
My party ended at about 6:30, and when I got home I had to get ready for Rob's holiday party. His was super cool. His company rented out a section of the Gordon Biersch Brewery in Mission Valley. We got all you can drink house brews for free for 2 hours. And the food was awesome! They have some tasty dishes to go along with their tasty beers. Again, I got my buzz going early as I was the DD. We got some silly Christmas ornaments as prizes. The president of the company wrote a lovely speech and complemented Rob (who then proceeded to blush).
All in all it was an excellent night with lots of eating and drinking and talking and laughing. I'm glad I got to drink a decent amount because I won't be able to drink for a whole month!

...so, what you are saying is that it's safe to assume that you like to drink? :D

Well, the best prizes were the plasma tv's and the motorcycle...(which ended up causing my coworker to spend a few thousand more $ cus her husband upgraded it and now needs accessories!). I would have sold that bike and paid off bills and been in a really good financial state- but alas, a new digicam is better than nothing! And Im having fun figuring it out! I just need to get a bigger card- it doesnt use the same ones my Nikon uses.
