Holy crap that was the best vacation ever! We drove across the US, took the 40 most of the way, stop at some old route 66 vintage stops. Put 5000 miles on the 07 MINI we took and i didnt want to come back!

We stayed in Fontana Village located off the 129 in North Carolina. 11 miles of road with 360-some thing turns. I must have drove it a dozen times each day. There where atleast 400 minis at the "Minis on the Dragon" event. We littered the whole mountain. just amazing...

here's a few untouched photos for now... more to come later when i write my article... ooo and video too!!!

you mini owners are a weird bunch.............. looks like fun, when I was at Cadillac ranch, it was 10 degrees outside, snow on the ground and all of the field was mud so I couldn't get that close, looks like fun, and the wrecked mini is the reasons I don't go on canyon runs, I don't trust other peoples driving. How do you get such a small, FWD, underpowered car, WITH stability control so far out of shape that you plow into a mountain on a public road???? Its totaled.

The dragon has some pretty deceptive turns on it.
You'll get rolling along in some nice sweepers and then a sharp 120 degree will pop up on you.

Exactly. It's not called The Dragon for nothing, she likes to eat cars!
