For those of you who dont frequent this section of sce, there has been some recent inncidents involving the ''Team German Assault" car club. We as a group have decided to make some changes in our ethics and want to alter how our club is ran.

In the coming months we will be attending meets throughout socal looking for potential members in each area. following this process we will then meet with each area individually to both welcome new members and elect a leader for that group. Our goal is to create a mini BMWCCA withen southern california.

We understand that we have crossed some lines in the past weeks and we regret these inncidents seeing as how we have been banned from one meet which will not be disclosed. We hope to better our reputation as a chill, "family" sort of speak while rebuilding our group. We currently have established chapters in ontario and riverside/moval and are hoping the expand to atleast 3 chapters before July.

Potential Chapters/areas:
Riverside / Moreno Vally / Corona
Ontario / Rancho Cucamunga / Fontana
Temecula / Murrietta
Orange County
Los Angelas

Proposed Group Activities:
CCA Autocross
Track Days
Dyno Event
Standard Parking lot meets
Detail Days
-other proposed events still undergoing consideration:
~Vegas Trips
~Norcal Trip
~Gumball 3000* (Aug 6th, 2008 Starting in San Francisco, CA)
~Weekend @ Oktoberfest w/ Cabin
(all submissions welcome for consideration)

NOTE: Participation in the Gumball Rally will require notification no later than July, 6th and will also require attendance at atleast one informational meeting to discuss vehicle limitations, rules to be followed, and route. All wishing to participate may PM me with some info on what you would be driving. (minimum i need to know is what the car is obviously, the tire you will be running, personal limits) also if an email address can be included i can get back to you sooner with any recommendations as to preparation.

Again, we are rebuilding and rethinking our concept and hope to see many new faces throughout the process. If you are interested in attending a meet with us just to get an idea of what were about you can PM me or email me @ shockwave_25tremor@yahoo.com (i have a blackberry so i get emails quick and can respond immediately) We wont pull your arm to join or pressure you with a whole recruiting speach. We will instead make you feel comfortable and at home just like everyone elce and if you decide you wanna give us a chance all we ask is that you give us three consecutive meets, We ask this because we feel that if you are dedicated enough to make three meetings that shows us that you are serious and have pride in your interets. Again, if you just want to come out and check us out and attend one of our discussion at a meet email me and i'll let you know where it will be and when.

Thank You, from TGA

Edit: Although we will welcome all euros limited to BMW, VW, Mercedes, Audi, and Mini, we will be incorperating separate chapters for non BMW / Mercedes to prevent the future possibility of rivalry and/or drama which is common in meets or clubs where everyone is bunched together. But again we will always welcome all euros limited to as described above

It sounds as though there are fees involved, is that the case?

It seems like you're trying to do something cool, both in making a new club, and by identifying some not so great past happenings and stopping them from happening again.

So, not in a way to bust your balls but... What more do you offer than we get by just being generally accepted as an SCE member?

Call me crazy, but I kinda like this place :)

OH, and I don't have a BMW anyhow. lol

for the time being, no. in the past all we have asked for as far as money is for shirts stickers... of course for some events like for example we have had bbqs' before and its only right that everyone attending chipps in but no, there will be no registration, monthly dues, or any other regular fees aside from pitching in a fair share for club necessities.

well... i cant really give you a good answer to that but many of our members have high connections with various places and can offer more person to person tech help but really i cant answer that cuz we basically offer the same thing just more physical enteraction as opposed to an online forum.

good job, congrats, I would suggest charging dues however, it will help with insurance for events, newsletters, BBQ's and such, you will need to elect a few people to some positions on a board like a president and a treasurer, runnign a club is alot of work. Not to mention that dues helps keep a genuine interest in your club and will attract more responsible people, if you give out stickers, your club can get out of hand, we tried this with an old aircooled VW club back in the 90's, started out great, then got out of hand and eventually the club was forced to disband, just some feedback based on experience.

well like i stated in the edit, we will always welcome other euros but we will be starting a separate chapter for them because of the drama that comes with everyone being mashed together, you should come check us out, we have a couple VWs.

yes, we plan on setting up a leader system once we get going with everything. and we will eventually charge dues but not initially. after last week i just said enough, im tired of being a rinky dink club thats going nowhere so im taking it upon myself to do something to get us going.

Good, it can be alot of fun. The Gumball part seems very interesting, I'll see if I can "borrow" an M6 for a franchise advertisement and publicity opportunity, that sounds good to tell management.

Good luck on it. Sounds like you are heading in the right direction. As far as coming out, it's hard enough for me to keep up with showing my face enough at SCE gtgs, lol. I've got some stuff on my plate already before I commit to any other social life aspects.

hey, its just whenever. if you get a chance like a free week or sumtin i'll plan that weeks meet around where the most interested people are. our new goal and strategy is to be flexible towards our members locations as well as potential members locations. And, on top of that our activities will be decided on by the members.
