i saw some really nice bbs in the vortex wheel classifieds, so i checked em out. they're up for 2200 canadian obo. i thought "cool, i bet they're under 2 grand in USD." wrong.
i went to google to search for the exchange rate, and it told me that currently, 2200 CAD = 2217 USD! i know the us dollar is going down the toilet quick, but not like this! so then i went to the basic 1:1 exchange table, and $1 dollar here barely covers $.99 north of the border. i remember when $20 here was worth $25 or $26 in canada..
how times are changing... i bet hpa's happy at least :D

i was in the land of not considering buying wheels from canada that would give me cause for looking at exchange rates.
the media is only presenting the growing weakness of the us dollar in combination with increasing oil prices. i haven't heard of exchange rates other than the euro in ages.

Moving from Canada to Socal in Sept of 07, I can tell you, things down here are still much cheaper. Gas is alrdy $5.00/gallon for regular there. Clothes are way cheaper etc.
Cost of living for me here is actually a bit cheaper, and im making more.

by "classic," do you mean that it's a cool ass statement because of my supa-fresh vocab :D or because rm's have always been expensive?
..anyways..
i think i only like the thought of bbs. they're too played out though. i finally realized that trying to make unique-looking rm's or rs's is nearly impossible these days. the search continues..

I went to Canada for a hockey trip in 98 or 99, and we bought TONS of hockey gear up there! not only was the gear cheaper because most of it is manufactured up there, but our dollar was worth around $1.40 canadian!!
