Monsoon speaker upgrade

Who here still has their Monsoon stereo but upgraded the speakers??? Im still running the stock ones but im thinking of upgrading soon.

Curious as to what sizes of speakers and tweeters fit in the stock locations with no cutting/drilling at all, if possible

i loved my stock monsoon in my jetta all i did was add another amp and 2 12" subs. the stockers handled very well. you can change your radio and you will notice a huge difference in the sound quality

not sure if something was messed up or not but our 03 Jetta (Canadia edition) had the premium system. My cousin brought a 02 GTI over from the states (which had monsoon) and the premium system sounded better to me :S

i would assume sony speakers would fit best considering monsoon is made by them.

but yea the stock stereo sounds better then most upgraded ones ive heard ^_^
