Ok Kids...I need help for my next mod. I'm looking into exhaust systems and theirs so many. I'm not trying to brake the bank for a exhaust system unless it was full titanium, so other then that i'm like most of the rest of y'all...Budget Builders. So i was looking at 42DraftDesign 3" Turbo back because sooner or later i'm going big turbo...and it doesn't look too bad. Then i ran across EuroJet's 3" Turbo back. I mean it's nice and shiny on the Website but does it perform? Doeas anyone out there own one of these systems or have a friend that owns one of these systems that can shoot me some feed back? Also please suggest other systems tried and tested and proven to be winners...thanks SoCal even though i'm back in Florida...I still got mad love for y'all kids!

i never had a bt setup or anything, but i ran an eip turbo-back with a 3" downpipe and 2.5" from the cat back. after a few thousand miles of having it on, i switched it over to only cat-back (since it failed smog ) for a bt, of course depending on what you're using (t3/t4 or a gt series turbo) i'd say go for a similar setup. look for something with a 3" downpipe for max initial flow, then 2.5" from the cat back. from what i've heard, you always want to keep a little bit of back pressure. the 2.5" piping on the rear section of the exhaust will give you just that, whereas a 3" may give you too much flow. again, don't quote me because i've never run a bt setup. this is just what i've heard.

whatever you choose to do, good luck. and post pics! :D

Three parts of a turboback that require attention: muffler, catalytic converter and downpipe (and possibly the presence of a resonator). After that, it's just tubing.

The difference in performance between same diameter brand turbobacks lies mostly in the cat and muffler used by that brand, and the difference is in single digits.

If you're really a budget builder, go to a shop that can build a custom turboback (in LA/Inglewood, that would be Renner Motorsports). You can tell them what muffler and cat to use and where to put the flexpipe... or leave it to their discretion. The rest, again, is just tubing.
