eBay will be my last resort. i'd much rather buy the phone from a shop or someone's hookup. hehe. :D

Does it do something special, or is it a fashion statement?

Direct from HelloMoto.com: The Moto Razr V3 is expertly crafted to deliver exceptional performance. Inside the ultra-thin design are advanced features like MPEG4 video playback, Bluetooth® wireless technology, a digital camera and more. And with the precision-cut keypad, minimalist styling and metal finish, the V3 looks just as beautiful as it performs.

It's quite the most beautiful phone offered by Cingular, EVER. I want one too.. but $600?! I thought it was only $500.. like that makes a big difference. I'm getting one as soon as I can afford it. LoL.

NVM, Retail Price is $599.. but on cingular.com, they have it for $499.

I'm sure some asian place is willing to sell it for 499 and not 599.

No memory card slot or even the ability to record video. Not to mention I feel like I'm going to break the thing whenever I hold it.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced if you ask me. My v710 is a third the price and can do more than the Razr.

But you wouldn't have to hold it most the time if you get the Bluetooth accessory module, that lets you voice dial, and answer without the phone. The accessory attaches to your ear. I've seen a lot of people out here walking around the malls with them on, at first thinking they had some sort of alien tracking device, then realizing it's the razr module.

lol ... I thought the same the first time I saw someone with a Bluetooth headset. I get the same looks still when I wear mine out in public.

Sure you don't have to hold the phone when you're talking on it, but what about when you text message? Or you still have to look at the phone to find out who's calling.

I realize the Razr is a groundbreaking phone as far as design is concerned. But for feature set, it's a little lacking compared to what else is already being done by other phones on the market; many of which are built by Motorola.

And can I at least mention the external screen being so freaking small?

I gotta go with you on this one... and I've read nothing but good things about the V710... Thinking it'll be my next phone or the Nokia 6260

Glad you came to your senses. :)

The only thing the Razr has over the v620 is a color external screen and the thinness. Otherwise they're pratically identical as far as function is concerned. The 620 is much better bang for the buck compared to the Razr.

As no phone is perfect, there are definitely some bad things regarding the v710. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my phone; but there are some things about it that Motorola or Verizon could have done differently.
