im trying to figure out whats wrong with my car..the boost spikes up to 16 lbs really quick then it drops down to 5 then it goes up again and drops down..normaly its boost only 11lbs and holds around 9..i jsut installd a samco turbo inlet pipe and greddy rs recirculating bov..it ran ok for about a month then this starts happening ...any idea or opinion would help alot!!

are you chipped?got an exhuast? IC?
Did you install the stuff correctly? (not trying to me be mean gotta ask)
cause you may be surging or in limp mode....

Mine does the same thing, But i'm not chipped and no TIP

im not chipped and i got a axle back exhaust..i think i installed evrything correctly ..it seems like there's a vacuum leak cause it dumps the boost while im still in throttle. also its so weird how im not chipped and im boosting upto 16lbs

Mine will spike up to 20lbs, while I have it floored and it just goes straight down to like 5 lbs. Not to mention when I have the 007 DV on the car I boost daily about 11-13 lbs, But when i Put my HKS SSQ on I can't get over 6 lbs

It does it every once in a while, But like I said it's EVERYTIME with the HKS I can't get over 6 lbs, But with the DV it's from time to time when i will spike to 20lbs then go straight down to 5 lbs

Umm, the check engine light will go off then come back on. But I know it's for over boosting. I know i'm not in limp mode, I have no LEAKS at all. so i'm clueless on what it is. I just dunno why it would do it all the sundded ya know.

Sounds lame, but I had a similar problem then I had a boost gauge installed.... my car would spike at 15-16 then drop... I had just gotten the car and never touched the air filter.
I finally popped it open and noticed the filter was dirty but it also had this weird foam stuck to the bottom of it. Im guessing it was a moisture blocker. Car was an east coast car.. Well basically popped in a K&N filter and bam problem solved...
Car boosts and spikes perfectly after I thought it had a boost leak and 2 shops told me if was fine...
Just a thought

I don't have a CAI but just a drop in K+N... Might be the same issue, might not be

clean your maf, change your coilpacks and spark plugs. then see if it gets better.

I wouldn't change the packs or plugs unless your throwing codes

there's a maf cleaner that u can buy...i cleand the air filter but its still doing it

clean your maf, change your coilpacks and spark plugs. then see if it gets better.
x2 and maybe get ur intake tract smoke tested

any1 have a vag that they can bring at the meet this wed? just wana scan the car..
