Damn, I don't think I have ever seen as much rain in a 24-hour period as from 5pm yesterday to today.

I took off to head back to N. AZ Sunday, as the forecast for Monday was possible snow ... didn't get anything Monday though, I guess SoCal first got some Monday and then got hit Tuesday. 5pm Tuesday I could hear it starting to rain; I went to work at 8pm and got pretty wet, at it rained off/on until midnight. After midnight, it was nonstop pourage, until I went home at 4:30am. All morning I could hear it raining, as it kept me up.
At 12:45 I got a call from work (I work for the University Police) telling me I was on call in case things got any worse. Roads all over town and campus were flooding and being closed off.
Not until 4pm did it finally get cold enough to snow, and then it stopped by 5pm [fine by me, I hate snow for the post-storm effects that NEVER FREAKING LEAVE]

According to AZCentral.com, LA got 5.55 inches of rain on Tuesday alone, and apparently there was a Tornado too. Not sure how much we got, weather.com says 0.00 inches on Wednesday

Our Governor declared a state of emergency for my county because the flooding got so out of control, some nice video footage on the front page here:

So how bad was it back in SoCal? Anyone hydrolock their car?

A friend of mine was 2 cars behind a typical California can't-drive-in-the-rain-moron who slammed on his brakes for NO reason... which resulted in a 3 car 'pile-up'. He just slid right into the car in front of him crunching his bumper and hood. :(

The good thing about that is, now he'll finally get that aftermarket bumper replacement installed and pick up a carbon fiber hood.

I haven't noticed too much rain in the IE except for Tuesday night. Other than that, pretty dry.

went camping in the motorhome out in the desert.........

wow!!!!!! weather was a frickin weirdo!!! =oP

we had some CRAZY ass winds and the downforce of the rain was totally amazing.

no one had that kind of flooding.....seeing as we were elevated some.......but the winds definately tore up some awnings and scattered various things about the camp sites. we heard reports of 70mph where we were. IT was hilarious to see a GRIP of people out at like 3:30am running around securing awnings and chairs and such. was like a cleaning party.

nothing broken or missing from our site. w00t! *knocks on wood*

Easily a foot and a half, and showing no signs of stopping.

Snow is good for paint, protects it from all those nasty UV rays...
