I just recently Bought The New Wolfsburg Jetta With The New TSi with the DSG And I Have Several Questions That I Hope Someone Can Answer.

Q: Why, when i turn my car on, does the engine tick? It is very loud and rapid like a drum stick on the sidewalk.

Q:My Jetta has the split Cluster screens and i was wondering if there was a way or if the car showed my MP/G at all.

Q: Under my hood to the left of the motor, there is a rubber tube that runs from behind what im assuming is the intercooler and upto the cabin behind the glove compartment. What is this and what does it do?

Q: when i turn off my radio and have the windows up I hear a thud when rolling after shifting into reverse. I also hear this same noise whaen coming to a stop in all modes of driving when the car shifts to first.

Q: Why, When accellerating from a stop, does the car bog and vibrate? Is this an effect of the turbo or is it something that should be looked at?

Q: The Wolfsburg unfortunately did not come equipped with the Xenon Headlights like the GLi... Is it possible to swap straight to the Xenons by buying the entire housing or would there be some retrofitting and wiring involved?

Q: The wolfsburg also was not given any sort of facelift to set it aside from standard jettas, Would the GLi bumpers and grilles mount straight to a Wolfsburg or would they require Retrofitting or modifying of the mounts?

Q: With the TSi being a brand new motor there are no new performance applications for it, I have however noticed that the Older FSis' have one small difference in the Intake system which is the O2 sensor being on the left hand side behind the motor where the TSi O2 is behind the airbox to the right of the motor. If the Sensor and corresponding wiring would reach would a Cold Air Intake from say a 2007 GTi or GLi fit the new TSi?

The ticking is because it is direct injection, normal.

Read your owners manual, mine shows MPG in my MFD

That tube is the noise maker, get the Audi A3 throttle pipe and it will get quieter in the cabin

Thud, these cars have very soft motor mounts, as you will find out when you start modding.

You can swap Xenons, you would need the headlights, maybe a switch and coding with a VAGCOM, check VW vortex in the MK5 DIY section

You can swap out the standard Jetta stuff for GLI grille and fogs easily, check OEM Plus

I haven't had a chance to look at a new generation FSI motor, so I can't tell you, call VF and find out, or look at someone elses car. I have the VF intake and GIAC-X.............. a combination I HIGHLY recommend. I'm looking into doing the RSS kit. With software, intake and TB, you will have no problems dusting E46 M3's and stock 335's all day long. Trust me on that one.

On this does it just connect right where the "noise maker" is? if so will it affect my warrantee and if not you wouldnt happen to have a part number would you?

Okay, so i went to audi and was told the throttle tube was not compatible and vw told me that the strang "noise maker" as everyone has named it is an airduct used to put air to the ecu. like a fan on a pc. am i being fed bs or what? please help.
