My rear brakes need some work... If I just want a basic stock level rotor/pads, does Autozone/Kragen carry decent ones??
Eventually I will go to better brakes but for now stock is good....
Suggestions???

purems.com or if you want cheap stuff theres autopartswarehouse.com
if you need to pick up local, I recommend Hub Auto parts on Harbor blvd by Norms... Kragen and those stores call these guys in Costa Mesa to check for parts all the time

Yeah I prefer a local pick up since I want to maybe replace them this weekend....
Any "brand" they sell you would recommend over another???
Brake pads as well.... I just want a OEM equivilent...
Go to the dealer, odds are you just need pads, rear rotors generally don't wear out at your low mileage, I would get OEM pads, they aren't significantly more money then aftermarket crap. If you do go aftermarket, be careful, I had a set of Mintex that didn't fit right in my MK3 that jammed in the slides and wore out in about 50 miles.
You will need the special tool also Brian to retract the piston into the caliper in the rear.

You can borrow the tool from Kragens or Autozone for free as well

My passenger side pads are getting thin and I would rather start new with new rotors and pads....
Im having Mike at Canyon Racer Motorsports do the brake job because I am going there for some other stuff... I beleive he has the tool.
Have him measure your rear rotors, they will more than likely be fine, you can pad slap those things 2 or three times
