The TV movie was boring, the battle scenes too damn dark to see a thing. Maybe the series will be better.

But seriously, Space minorities aside the whole thing with Starbuck being a chick better mean that there's gonna be some lesbian action between her and Caseopea.

At first glance it looks like an over PC'd under funded attempt at cashing in on the pre-pubescent memories of the current casual spending power.

i watched the original 70's series, as well as this series (that originally aired in may 04). it just doesnt have the charm the original series did.

The original series only has charm in hindsight -- were they to make one similar to it today, that would be god awful.

The miniseries last year was boring.

Starbuck as a woman, and Boomer not only as a woman, but an asian woman at that, and not only THAT, but also a SLEEPER CYLON, is ridiculous!

Boomer as a black man with an afro is way cooler than an asian female Boomer with cutesy bangs who really is a Cylon but doesn't know it yet.

(Note: sure, asian woman, latino captain -- any sign of a major black cast member anywhere that even the original series sported?)

Totally agree....and on a related note, we have lesbians here on earth too. So shouldnt they be well represented in space as well? :D

I've watched the entire 1st season, thanks to SkyOne... it gets much better with each episode. Very dark and suspenseful. And yes, I will share one spoiler reason to watch it... a scene with 30 naked Boomers.

Starbuck's character becomes more like the old Starbuck as time goes on... Katie Sackhoff did a pretty good job of assuming that character, even in female form.
