Best bang for the buck?

I started to look but there seems to be alot on the market.

Im not looking for the most expensive with more bells and whistles than can be used. More like, whats the best audio unit out there?

Right now I am using the Plantronic Discovery 655 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875978012). So far it is the best headset I have used. Everyone I talk to on my phone say it doesn't even sound like I am on a headset. One plus is that it's small and light so it doesn't get uncomfortable wearing it for long periods of time.

I use one of these Motorola T305 speaker things. It can be difficult to hear while driving but I don't like those little star trek headsets. Costco has a similar one for sale.

Wasn't there a thread somewhere where for a good page or so everyone was knocking on people with bluetooth headsets??? Such as, "They were soo 2002??"

I seriously thought these things were out of style... And than out of no-where a ton of people are wearing them again...

It is the law starting July 1st so they are definitely going to be back in style not that I think they ever went out of style.

I'm with EDM, that one works well, and is very reliabe. I have a Jabra, JX10 which I love, but sometimes it sound windy to people on the other line, even though I'm in the office.

I always hear great things about the jawbone except for battery life. And I saw a newer one that was smaller than the original design, but I don't know too much about the new one. My buddy has the old one, and the sound quality for the other person on the line is great.

My biggest issue has always been volume on my end, which is why I got the in ear, which the jabra and the plantronics both provide.

I'm using a Samsung WEP200 Headset. I bought mine off Buy.com for $10 shipped a few months back and it works great. Very easy to use and quality is clear. You can find em on various sites for around $30 shipped or less.

seriously tho.. Motorla or Jawbone [only jawbone if you're using it like 97% of the day, because it eliminates so much more of the background noise than the Motorola]

example. my gal pal had a motorola, i couldn't hear HER, when she's on the train, but i could hear the convo BEHIND her. she switched to Jawbone, and it's like we're on a secure line.. not really any background noise at all.

Personally, I prefer the old school wired earphone and mic. I don't like the hassle of charging it every night.

The Jawbone is a bit pricey. It retails at $120 but I've heard great things about it.

My friend has that huge one that goes behind youe ear and looks straight out of startrek. Ugly as hell, but the huge battery gives it long battery life and a really loud earpiece.

Got the new Jawbone . . . It's the Shiznit!!!!! It was a little pricey ($130) . . .

. . . I know what you're thinking . . . "But Toy, we all can't afford something like that" Well, I'm here to tell you to get it, save up and get it. I can drive with my windows down at freeway speed and my wife, who always complains about background noise, could hear me perfect. I'm not sure on bettery life yet, but it only took about an hour to charge the thing, and it says 80% in 30 minutes or so.

It looks sick too, so if you wants a great headset, get it. If not, I still recommend going to an ATT store because they offer a 30 day trade, if you don't like it, get a different one. Keep trying until you find one you like.

Every person in the store had one, so I got to try it out before I bought it, so I like it, earpiece is loud, looks good, and sounds good on the other end. I guess the only drawback will be the price.

A lot of review say they like the olderone better, I didn't wan tot search for one online, but I think they are around $60-$70. I like the new sleek style so I'm very happy!!!

i have the same one in my car. i have had it for almost a year now. i used to try and sell this headset to all my customers at sprint. never had complaints with it.

this is also a great alternative for anyone who hates wearing anything in their ear. the speaker on this device is really loud. the volume control is high and while you're talking to the other person, it sounds as if they are right next to you.

and for anyone who doesn't want to buy a phone because their phone isn't bluetooh enabled... i'd advise picking up a jabra bluetooth adapter. they go for about $50 - $60. http://www.cellularking.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/a210.jpg

The samsung wep200 sucks for everyone else. horrible noise reduction.

Plantronics is still king in quality, battery life.

No I ordered it late last night. With shipping and tax it was $73 which is still the best price I can find it for.

I just bought a new Jawbone. I'm charging it now and I'll give an update once I use it a few times.

My update on the Jawbone 2 is that th ebattery life isn't great, maybe a couple days. My Jabra would last a week or more. But . . . They did accoutn for the numerous chared with a magnetic charger. So you don't have to worry about the charger not working anymore because of clips breaking, or pins bending.
