anyone seen it yet? i just got back from it, and i have mixed feelings about it.

first off, it is the second most random movie i've ever seen. a close second to the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie (i took a food in film class last semester, don't ask...). i probably said "what the fuck?!" more times during this movie than during 2 girls 1 cup. seriously. the plot changes around so many times.. i can't decide if it's overloaded with too many twists, or if it's actually really entertaining. the first 20 minutes or so were perfect. funny, different, subtly-revealing-the-plot-via-brief-cutscenes-and-events-ish; textbook if you ask me. but after that, the "wait... what?'s" just couldn't come faster. i feel like i want to watch it again to absorb it all, but i really wouldn't pay a second time.

and the whole "one month later" ending put the biggest cliche-inflicted bruise in the movie, imo. really? come on... i guess the writers used up all their originality in the general idea of the film and the opening scenes..

That ending was THE most stereotypical ending for a movie where someone can fly. I mean really? Did you just like.. run out of ideas for a closer? That's one of the most important parts of a movie to me, and they totally killed it.

I am legend comes to mind. Shit sucked, but the action made up for it.

From the trailers I figure some bum gets super powers and
becomes of bank robber or some shit, then he turns into a super hero.

Then whatever turned him into supermans brutha, turns some evil guy into
a superman, and they fight it out, then handick loses his powers. ?

Or he falls in love and he chose to lose his power because of love?

Something gay like that?

This movie is a waste of time. The girl and I went to see it. We ended up walking out after the opening scene and going next door to Get Smart. <--- Hilarious by the way.

I have no clue what you haters are talking about. I thought that it was a pretty good movie. He is a bum from an event that happened a long time ago. He doesn't remember anything. Just knows that he's got powers. The movie gets good later into it. It was pretty damn funny. I liked it allot.
And NO, he doesn't rob any banks, or turn bad on people. No "Superman" comes to fight him. He just realizes who he is, and what really happened in the end, and everyone lives happily ever after.

I never really listen to what most people have to say about movies because its all subjective. I still wanna see this movie but will most likely wait till the dvd realease. I hardly ever go to the actual theater anymore.

Ya, people said that cloverfield sucked hard.
But I downloaded it when It went to dvd.

I think that people said it sucked because they thought it was supposed
to be "real" type of movie. Like blare witch.

I like how everyone died and the crazy shit the guy did to get to his trapped girl.
