Apparently the contract we have with Sprint is going to end shortly and a new contract will be put in...

This is my chance to jump out of my parents contract, ditch my outdated Motorola i870, and pay for own phone stuff...

In the meantime, I've wanted a full keypad and good internet access... Equal if not better than a Sony PSP.

That one phone from Verizon that they've been advertising a lot looks nice... Just not sure I want to drop from the sprint family since the reception is the closest to "true cellular capabilities"... Just don't understand how I get shitty reception when we're at the top of Big Bear, apple Valley, or up in Idywild...

Those Palms are nice too...

One thing I WILL be getting for sure is a Invisi-shield from Shield Zone... Since I'd have to protect the main screen better, especially if it's a Palm...

Oh and note, sorry iPhone fans.. I'm a non-conformist most things, iPods/phones being one of them...

i've had my palm centro since december. love it. better than my old treo 755p. fast web, but some people don't like the size of the keypad. hell, i still type faster than most people on this phone versus any other. (sprint network btw) never had issues with my phone. speaker is loud AND clear when listening to music. supports 4 gig cards.

I have a Helio Ocean w/ Helio service. It's a "dual-slide"? phone with a full qwerty keypad. The internet (3G?) is pretty capable. It also has Google Maps and GPS, which I use all the time, Garmin, a bunch of music storage w/ headphone jack, 2 MP phone and video.
I get service in a lot of places that others don't. I pay about $80/month for for unlimited text/downloads/all that other stuff I don't use and about 500 minutes. I think it's called the "All-in 500" plan.
I guess it's a step towards a Crackberry, but still more like a traditional phone.

Was looking at the centro, has that annoying dual button deal... I guess it's better than standard phones with 3-4 characters per button.

But yeah.. anyone have a Blackberry 7100i? I was looking at it since it has the PTT/DC function and I don't think I want a phone w/o that function since I have one that currently does.

Anyone?

look into att tilt. its an iphone beater. its an htc product and running on windows mobile 6.0. it has a full keyboard and touch screen. push email, blackberry connect, push to talk {ptt}, major instant messenging connection (aim, yahoo, msn messenging) and gps navigation system. connection through internet is via 3g, wifi, bluetooth, gprs and usb. 3M camera and limitless upgrades on software. remember this is a pocket pc so going around the programs are easy. running on a dual centrino processesor and if you want a tomtom gps program give me a holla.

ohh by the way you could put a 32 gig micro sd card on it too.

That is a nice phone... But.. Since it is ATT, the PTT/DC is fairly useless as it won't carry over to Nextel, other than that, the other features are damned nice.
