Irvine Fireworks + HDR Shizz

Kristen and I cruised up to Irvine for the fireworks display last night. It brought me back to when I was a child :) . I took some pics, but only liked a few. It was my first time photographing fireworks. Also, I took two HDR's of the dirtayyy GTI. :tup2:

Nice, Where in Irvine??? Your right, Kristens car needs a bath! We went to the top of the parking structure where the old Hooters GTG was in Anaheim and watched the ones from Angels Stadium. We were so close, we could see the mortars going off in the lot, and since the wind shifted, all the smoke, debris, and hot embers falling around us, but it was front row center.

I'm doing nothing today, wanna grab some food? I'll call you.

Nice shots Dan!! I was going to go up on Signal Hill to take some pics of the ones at the Queen Mary but I heard it was a zoo up there.

It was in Woodbridge, near the dollar movie theatre. I used to watch them there as a child, so it was neat. What you did sounds awesome(besides the smoke inhalation haha). :tup2: Jason(Kristen's bro) and his girlfriend Jeanette were at the Angels game. I will have to ask them how it was.

Sorry I couldn't get food! We will soon, I promise. We're some busy dudes haha.

great pictures. i tried my hands at fireworks photography once or twice.. i could never get it to come out how i wanted. sounds like a fun evening. i was at a family friend's in santa ana putting on our own fireworks extravaganza.

btw, what ever happened to that hooters meet? i don't think it was around once i got into the vw scene, but i've always heard stories about it.
