$2500 Cash (From SCE member) takes it.

It's issues... needs body work done, and isn't holding oil pressure.
The Odo stopped working within the last 500 mi or so.

I've decided, in the attempt to buy a house, keeping this car is not what is in my best interest. For any questions on the price or what has been done to it, please see my project thread. It has pretty much everything listed that has been done to it since it has been in my posession since April 07.

The Price includes the BBS RSs with brand new rubber (less than 200 mi)

If I can't get $2500, I will begin parting out.

For quick reference, here are some things that I have done or had done.

-Head completely rebuilt and machined/Decked with ARP exhaust studs, Autotech 270 cam and Autotech / Techtonics cams/followers /guides etc. (It's got over $700 in it, not counting labor)
-15" BBS RS, redrilled with dual fitment 4x100 and 4x114.3 (Over $1000 on rims/rubber/drilling)
-Power windows installed w/ custom center console with LCD monitor (also have stock console) (Well over $200 to get where it is)
-Everything that mounts onto the knuckles with exception to the Calipers and brake lines is brand new. (It cost more than I thought it would, apx $300)
-Brand new exhaust from RPM, Magnaflow muffler with AutoTech Hi-Flow Cat (Sounds AMAZING!), and OEM upgraded 4-2-1 manifold and DP with O2 sensor (it's CARB/SMOG legit!) (About $290 at RPM, that isn't counting the Cat)
-A/C has been deleted with exception to blower in dash and dash trim.
-New Oil pan/gasket and OEM 2.0 8V Oil pump.
-New aftermarket rear view mirror.

I can collect up all reciepts for a truly interested buyer. Most of the costs are accurately listed in the project thread as they came. I have title in hand.

I got this and put this much money into the car to learn how to work on cars. I have learned a lot, thanks to many on here. However, with the dollar amount I have into it, I would be much happier if it were an 83 GTi. Or better, my dream 68 Camaro SS.

I am sure there are questions, if I've missed anything please ask.

Thinking about it... from an SCE member, $1400 if you bring your own wheels and I keep the BBSs.

Price is negotiable.

man.. sorry to see this project being sold. if and when you part out, how much would you be looking to get for the rs's?

$1000, that discounts you a little more than taxes, gas, time and stress to get them to where they are ;)

There is always the possibility of it not getting sold, and me not getting the money out of it. Then I'd be forced to finish it and drive it I guess... ;)

sounds tempting if you end up doing a partout. what else do you need to do to get it where you want it?

I could care less about the body at this point. I just need it to hold oil pressure so I can drive it daily.

If it was driving daily, I wouldn't give a crap about the extra dough I'd put into it.

have a diagnostic check run on it. it probably wouldn't be too expensive and it would definitely identify the problem. do you have triple a? if so, it just might be worth the free tow to a shop to have it checked out.

i don't know of any reputable shops in oceanside, but i know everyone will recommend ron wood at vw specialties. the only downside is they're located in huntington beach. i haven't personally dealt with him, but according to every word i've read about him, he's the omnipotent guru of everything vw. if anyone in socal could solve your problem, he's the guy.

Needing/Wanting to buy a house is making selling this more necessary...

hate to say it, but house > mk2

by far. i think you should go for the house, because it will definitely bring you more happiness in the long run. there will always be another mk2 floating around somewhere..

is the issue of being able to have a couple more grand far more important than the issue of having somewhere to store it? i had a friend sell a beloved project when they moved across town just because they didn't have anywhere to put it.

We'd have a place for it. It's a combo of getting the money from it to help with poising myself to get the house, AND letting me keep more money by not having the car to put it into. If you check the project thread, I lost count of the dough, but it is def over $4G, and the car itself was free.

true. projects are for extra money, not money that should be going somewhere else. i'm slowly but surely learning that right now with my own... i guess if i were in your position, i'd research what could be going on under the hood as much as i could to try and solve the problem myself without paying someone else to do it. that way all your spending is your own time. if you've already figured out that all it is is an issue with keeping oil pressure, it may be a relatively straightforward search to find the source of the problem. i'm just waiting for similar woes once my motor goes back in..

Well, I've been chasing down the low oil pressure deal for a while now, but it is highly possible I am not looking at the right places. It is my current belief it could be the Crank seal or something of the sort.

Trust, I have been researching. I used to be in Group5 a few times a month... not to mention, lbvr6 used to just bring me the parts to school so I didn't have to drive all the way down there.

Thanks for the support and kind words!

Price may be getting adjusted, in the upwards fashion as the oil pressure issue has been discovered.

The Wolfie holds oil pressure ;)
