Yo,
How's everyones' New Year going. Hopefully, you have all broken all those pesky resolutions, so you can have a full 11-3/4 months to sin and eat a lot.

Anyways, I am moving into a new house in Rancho Bernardo, and I would like to have my home theater system professionally installed. Can anyone in San Diego recommend a company that will do it for a reasonable price? (whatever "reasonable" is)

Thanks a ton,
Tony

what type of install are you looking for? in-wall speakers and custom stuff like that or just a clean speaker setup with all the wiring hidden? do you have any components already or are you gonna buy a complete setup?

I have all the components, but I want to hide all the wires in the wall. I'm not too concerned with hiding the speakers. That's a little more involved than i want to get.

The receiver is a Yamaha RX-V740. I'm not sure of the other question. Does that have to do with how many speakers I have? If so, I have 2 front, 2 rear, 1 center, 1 sub. I'm obviously not too smart on electronics. I just know that if I play GT3 while I sit too close to the TV, I tend to lean into turns. :smokem:

Check your PMs for questions about the when/where and how much.

I don't think I answered your question.

There's the Yamaha receiver and speakers, a Denon DVD, a Pioneer Voyager HDTV receiver, an older Sony 4 head VCR, PS2, and N64 all hooked up to a Phillips 42"plasma HDTV. This is all run through a giant surge protector thing, but you can't even see that because it's buried under a ball of wires which, if stretched out, would run from here to Cab San Lucas.

The new living room has a weird setup, where we can't really mount the TV on the wall. It will go on a TV stand, with all the other stuff in the shelves underneath. If you want, we can meet here, and you can see how it's all set up now, and then we can go over to the new place, and see what you're up against with the walls in the house.

How do you run wires through walls like that, anyways? That has always been a mystery to me...like the Pontiac Asstek. :ha:

Mr. Black 18T,

Thanks to SBC, we no longer have DSL at our house, so if you could, please call me at (619) 227-9429. That's my cell, and I should have it on all the time. I will actually be at the new house, painting, so if you're free tomorrow, and you want to come take a look at it, come on by.

See you later.

Tony
