Ok, so all of you know what I have been going through the past month or so. It's been crazy for me and I've gone from sane to insane every single day just trying to get through each and everyday without going crazy.

So, you guys know that my mom had breast cancer, what I didn't post was that she had another surgery just this past tuesday. My best friend and I went up there yesterday night to visit her. She's still in teh hospital and she will need another surgery again because the first procedure didn't work well. She's having reconstruction surgery and instead of gels/implants, she wanted to use her body fat. Reason why she's going in for another surgery is because her skin was not responding well. So lets pray that the second surgery will go well. She got the 2nd best surgen out there. The best surgen she couldn't get because everyone wanted him, so he got booked. Good thing that this surgeon was actually an "apprentice" of the best surgen. I don't know names. But all-in-all when we went to see my mom, we all had fun, joking and laughing, just talking about all different kind of stuff.

Second, my grandmother. She's still in the hospital, still sedated. She had surgery/operation on thursday. The operation was to put a tube in her throat so that she can breath on her own. She's gradually, littel by little getting better every day and I get small updates every day, if not every day, every other day. I called my step-mom earlier today so that I can get more of an update on my grandmother. I have to call later because she doesn't know her condition for today. My aunt is in the hospital with my grandmother when I called, so I'll call later to ask my aunt more about it.

My biggest concern is my grandmother. My mom is doing very well, and don't get me wrong, I am concerned about her too. My mom said she was able to walk around a little with little discomfort but she was awake, sitting on the chair while we just all chatted away and laughed about stupid stuff like HMO junk (my friend works for pacific care and my mom's under pacific care). And of course other stuff. But with my grandmother, she is getting better, but little by little every day. No dramatic change. So I'm just praying everyday for both of them.

this is how I lost my mother. The reconstruction surgery that she had done at the same time as the mastectomy developed a blood clot in her leg which caused a stroke and ultimately, her death. Well, I decided to take her off life support after the stoke showed she was brain dead. Same result.

it is a risky surgical procedure, all for the appearance of having a breast. GL.

I, unfortunately have a high risk of recieving breast cancer. It's in the genes. At this point, i do have big boobs, but I honestly wish I didn't. I don't want to go through what my mom has gone through. Seeing her gradually lose her energy when she went through Chemo therapy and then seeing how she was before and after the first surgery was just scary. It came to me thinking, that could be me in the future.

If I do get breast cancer, I would rather have no breast and live a healthy life than have to go through a surgery to get breast and have a high risk of something bad happen.

But I do see my mom's side. Having boobs is part of a woman and it's a natural feeling for women. But for me, i'd rather go for health than for appearance.

I'm bloody tired right now, but I'll fill you guys in on the update before I go to bed.

Some of you were aware that I went up to LA late last night to visit my mommy and my family and I stayed at a hotel for the night. I just recently came home... in one piece (my sister drove majority of the time and she litterally scares the living crap out of me when she drives). But anywho...

My mom's operation seemed to have went well. I believe her skin is now reacting just fine this time. When we came into the hospital this morning (around 11 or 12) she was still asleep. The operation went from 10pm last night until 3am and they wheeled her out of the OR at around 4am. So when she woke up, she was glad to see us all, but falling in and out of sleep. We hung around the hospital untill about 2ish then my little brother and I decided to take a little walk around UCLA, go in stores and all that fun junk. Then came back around 2:30 and my mom was awake by then. Then we all just hung out and talked and I tried to persuade my parents to buy me either a new mac or an ipod (since they got a $2000 gift card to circuit city).... heh... anywho, my mom was recovering pretty well. Later that night, she was able to get up and walk a little, not really on her own so much at first. but right before we left, she was able to. The doctor said with her recovery, she may be able to go home in a few days instead of 2 weeks (last I heard).

As for my grandmother. Everything is still the same... not much change what-so-ever...

Oh yeah... also, we were talking about all of us moving (well, majority of the household)

My mom is leaving in May to go to this culinary arts school up in san fran and my sister is leaving in sept. to go to CAA (california arts academy). And I'm leaving sometime in teh summer to move to Arizona(probably end of summer, so everyone better be at my party.... if i throw one that is.. LOL). My poor step-dad's gonna be by himself for teh summber because my lil bro may go up there for teh summer. Then after that it'll be just my step-dad and lil bro until my mom graduates.

More updates:

So, I didn't attend the 15th GTG only because My mommy came home just about 2 days before. We had relatives come over that day and I wanted to see them sooo bad because I haven't seen them in a while. The surgery all went well and my mom is slowly recovering, but she is recovering. Today she's walking a little faster than she did yesterday and she's still in some pain. The first few days, she stayed upstairs in her bedroom to avoid as much movement as possible, then the past few days she started to wander around the whole house, going up and down the stairs, slowly, but surely.

My grandmother on the other hand... She got transfered into a different hospital and at first, in order to see her, we have to wear gloves and masks. But now (i'm not quite sure if the rules changed), we all can't see her. But apparently she's slowly getting better... and I hope she gets better soon. She's talking as well...
