That's friggin awesome that they did that on an iphone.
It basically does the same thing as a G-tech. Its not a dyno but its a damn good estimate.
People have also used laptops and wii-motes to do the same thing. If you have acceleration data, know the math, and can program, its not too hard to do.
The key is really in the math to smooth out the data and correct for errors.

Lots of guys on Vortex have been testing this out and it seems pretty accurate; meaning they've done legit dynos before and the iPhone came within 5whp. I got it on my iPhone, but havent had a chance to test it out.

I read a bunch of the reviews in the app store and it sounds like its a bit buggy. It crashes and has other problems.

ive got it.
the Gmeter is awsome.
i have it on my ipod touch, i just bluetape it to my center console.
