Ok folks, I know ya'll are out there. This is the thread where ya'll can bitch and complain of what the rain has done so far to your dubs, beamers, mercedes, and other euros. I'll go first:

I left my dub parked on my driveway this whole weekend. So on Sunday when i went to drive it, i found a little fuggin lake on the right side of my car! I vacuumed most of the water out with a 6-gal Rigid wet/dry vac. Yup, almost a quarter full. It turns out that the hose in the passenger A-pillar was disconnected, so all the runoff from the sunroof went down the side of the inner liner and into my car. I quickly fixed that problem since there is more rain for the next few weeks. Here are some pics for view.

UPDATE: http://www.tabtuesdays.com/forums/images/smiles/verymad.gif FUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!! Its still leaking!!!! http://www.tabtuesdays.com/forums/images/smiles/cussing.gif Apparently there is another puddle near the bottom of the B-pillar on the back passenger and the front is still leaking from somwhere. I cant rip anything out right now because its pouring outside. http://www.tabtuesdays.com/forums/images/smiles/banghead.gif

edit: sorry for the large pics, right now i cant seem to upload from hostdub.

ok PLEASE tell me about this tube channelling the run off from sunroof! I am haveing leakage over the dead pedal on the drivers side and I can't figure out where the f#$^ it's coming from. Yes, I already checked the hood latch cable entry area.

Help!

At least in A4 Jetta's, the tube in the front is just below the door hinge. You might be able to make out the tube inside the circle in this pic:

Yes the pic is of the passenger side, but the tube is in the same spot on teh driver's side. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that Audis are in the same spot.

Just looked. There are no tubes or wires or anything visible except that accordian hose for the electrical :(

I guess I just keep hunting it down.

Luckily I haven't had to drive at all (haven't since Dec 20th), but, that doesn't mean I haven't had problems with the rain... Our hooptie GTi has been leaking hardcore. The sunroof stripping was ripped off by the winds, and the windsheild is leaking (and has also gotten some rock chips being parked outside). The Audi and my GTi have been safe inside the garage, except now the garage is leaking! It has been since the rainy season started, but the contracters can't do anything until it dries up. And now, the patio door in our living room is starting to collect water in the track. Hopefully it's nothing major, and doesn't get on our brand new hardwood floors.

MY only rant is that I finally dug my Dub out of 3 feet of snow Sunday night, only to have it rain nonstop since Monday and melt a lot of it :p

*looks out the window*

but now it's snowing hardcore once more, argh. I appreciate your kindness, but I wouldn't mind if you were a bit more selfish with your weather.

rain rain go away come again another day....

Heh... I don't have the bunny anymore so I don't have the whole "flood in car" problem. And I litterally do mean "flood in car"

rain's awesome!! i've been going through puddles and those freeway offramp/onramp dips of water like nothing, and creating huuuuge waves of water onto those tiny little cars next to me.. MUAHAHAHHA so much fun.. and rinsing the undercarriage of the car too at the same time! awesomeness!

i just don't like driving in rain during traffic hour (4-6pm) and at night.. >.<
