You take pictures, and this video rendering system will alter the input video to increase resolution/remove objects/increase the dynamic range etc. Very promising. :tup:

I don't know a ton about video editing, or what can or can't be done with preexisting commercial software, but that seems pretty friggin awesome.

Taking out that parking sign based on the information in other frames was absolutely nuts. Good stuff.

While watching the video, I was on the same track with this guy (user comment)...

"...Imagine a HD video camera that would take three frames for every one frame of a normal camera. That is, it creates an HDR image composite automatically. For example, instead of 30 frames per second, it actually takes 90 frames per second. It will take a normal exposure, under-exposed, than over-exposed (-2/0/+2). It will do this over and over for the 90 frames. The camera's processor then melds the 3 images into a HDR frame so that you automatically get a HDR 30 frame a second video. That's the future."
