Stumbled across this on the Vortex ... its just a pchop of one of the first mk5 Jetta pics to be released, but damn, I really think it looks nice ... much better than either the Golf, Golf GTi, or Jetta 4-door in my opinion.

I wonder if the US market (or even Europe) will see an mk5 wagon?
I know the mk4 wagon didn't come out until the last couple years, I haven't seen too many of them ... but I didn't like them much anyway. stock, that is ... modded mk4 wagons are HOTTT

My dad loves the Passat wagon, if an mk5 wagon like this appeared I'd totally talk him into a test-drive with me.

Who is gonna be the first to get an mk5 here?
I don't think I need to guess which engine will be in it ... when the hell are they coming out in the US anyway?

we could have used an mk3 variant ...

edit: just found this Golf variant photo too ... maybe that's what it'll be in Europe?

and then the Golf Plus isn't bad, for some crazy reason I like it better than the mk5 Golf

We might not see a MK5 wagon since VW discontinued the MK4 jetta wagon.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I wouldn't be surprised, wagons still have no market in the US :(

I can't find any pics of that damn Golf Plus, due to searching filters on all the sites.

A mk5 ... mk is short for "mark" ... so you wouldn't say "an mark 5" would you?

Quite a few people say "Em Kay" rather than "mark", so an would be appropriate.

when i was in amsterdam i saw a bunch of the new golfs and i have to say they don't look half as bad in person.. although i'm not a big fan of the "egg shell" car fashion that all the makers are going with for hatchbacks

Well we're not British anyway, so what business do we have using the word 'mark'

For some reason I like the lines of the Golf Plus more than the Golf V ... maybe its just that blue color. That's not to say I believe the Plus is more fitting as a 'golf,' definately not ... that stopped with the mk3s ;)

With the likes of the Matrix/xA/Aero/Spectra5 etc in the US market now, I have to wonder if the Golf V wouldn't have done too badly here ... especially with a TDI.
