The isht just hit the fan and bad news for the Democrats, the 2000 VP nominee turned independent, has endorsed McCain. Citing Obama's lack of experience and record of security issues, among cutting funding for Iraq among other things.

Like I said earlier, if the Democrats manage to loose this time around, they should just disband the party. Instead of focusing on issues and having a plan, they are spending there time selling empty promises of hope, and playing the "we aren't are third Bush term". Infact, with how terrible Bushes, approval ratings are, and the mess of his term, the Dems should be ahead by a LANDSLIDE in the polls, but they aren't, so that has some major weight to it.

keep in mind that old Joe is only an independent because of some shabby/crafty politics in his home state (iirc, as an incumbent, he lost the primary to some republican, Whitehouse, then ran on the indie ticket and won the general election)...Lieberman is a republican in all practical matters.

Lieberman has pretty much been seen as an outcast for some time now. Him endorsing Mccain was expected and not news. He's been globe trotting with Mccain for the past year. Didn't he already endorse Mccain? Some thought Mccain would select him as his VP.

Lack of experience... it's interesting that Republicans want it both ways. Obama doesn't have experience and then Mccain picks Palin as his VP. They say country first then they pick a VP that belonged to a separatist party. They can pretty much say or do what ever they want and die hard republicans will vote time and time again for them even when it's against their own best interests.

Have you been lazy or just not paying attention? Did you watch any of the DNC? It's easy to say they aren't focusing on issues and don't have a plan when you have select listening to what they are saying or aren't looking to see if they have a plan.
Barack on issues (http://www.barackobama.com/issues/)
Barack's blueprint pdf (http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/ObamaBlueprintForChange.pdf)

What issues have the Republicans been discussing? Terrorist will kill you if you don't vote for Mccain? Obama is a celebrity? Ronald Reagan was awesome? Abe Lincoln was cool too. Obama doesn't have enough experience and Biden has too much experience? Things aren't really that bad, it's all in your head?

Reminds me of a Hillary supporter that called into a radio show. She said she couldn't vote for Obama because she didn't know anything about him but she knew Hillary well. The host asked if she had been to Obama's website or tried to learn about him and she said no. The host then said, do expect him to come to your house and introduce himself to you.

He lost the primary to Ned Lamont. A democrat that ran on an anti-war campaign. Lieberman went on to win the general as an independent.

Right.

Whitehouse was in Rhode Island, I think.

Palin has more practical experience then Obama, and she's in the VP slot, hell, Obamas VP has more experience then he does. His issues are great, nice explanation of what they are, what his general overall plan on it is, I have read them before, but they seem to be full of holes and do not clearly state how he is planning on getting from point A to point B. Thats the problem. I will say, from the looks of it, it will cost ALL of us ALOT of money. We will NEVER see eye to eye, we will continue to go round and round on issues, back and forth, posting links to information the other will cite as BS and faulty....... isn't America wonderful?

Did you see how moronic she sounded last night. Just 'attempting' to talk ish about obama and referring to him as 'the democratic nomination'. Also the funniest yet eye openeing things I seen last night was the pure caucasian crowd. How they would pan search for minorities the whole night but only find one black woman sitting in the nosebleed section. They I spotted her a balcony down 45 minutes later. OMFG! tell me that was not lame. Maybe the latin kid who was holding the state of california pole or leaning next to it. Irony? I think not.

How she had her 'all-american family' on stage. Her pregnant daughter holding her boyfriends hand, letting go for a second just to get a signal from someone out in the stage to keep holding his hand. How did I see that? I tevo'd it and watched it over and over as I almost died of laughing histerically. I wish I could hear McSame's words to her as she waved the crowd in the end.

No, BS, where at ANY point in that statement would this asshat get something like that, he is a little kid crying out for attention.

My point was for the ignorant that can't make proper observations is his plans are going to increase taxes, and spending.

Tony you of all people I would think would be a Republican due to your serving of our country, how does his attempt at cutting Iraq spending sit with you if you couldn't get the proper gear and supplies in the middle of a war?

Does that mean she has more practical experience than McCain too?

Can you be specific with the holes? Does McCain's plan state how he is planning on getting from point A to point B? The info on both sites seem about on par as far as details.

It will cost ALL of us ALOT of money? Could you be specific?

We will NEVER see eye to eye? Lately you say this in your responses to me as if it's some way to say it's pointless to debate. The truth is that we see eye to eye on more things than we disagree with. One of the things we disagree with is your blind hatred(not literal) of "liberals" and democrats. When the fact that the past 6 years of your conservative Republican government has been pitiful you want to pass if off as a fluke. That some how they aren't real Republicans. You can't paint all Republicans with that broad stroke but it's ok to do so with Democrats: Tax and spend, hide your wallet, hide your guns. How has the country's wallet been the past 6 years? Borrow and spend a better plan? Oh wait the past 6 years was a fluke.

I grew up a Republican in the south. I know what it's like to be Republican. Small government is a grand idea. Republicans convince people that government is bad, then they get elected and prove it.

Liberals often get compared to Socialists. We want to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor, right? Republicans(in office) prefer corporate socialism. When a large company fails they want the tax payers to bail them out. After the CEO gets his million dollar umbrella package first.

Not all Republican's are corporate puppets but the past 6 years are not a fluke. Why has just about every speaker at the RNC spoke about drill here drill now. "Drill baby drill"! The benefits of more off shore drilling leases go more to oil companies than the American people. I keep waiting for a commercial break and then hearing the movie voice, "Today's Republican National Convention is brought to you by Exxon, drill baby drill".

Back to issues though...

McCain campaign manager Rick Davis - "this election is not about issues"

I thought it was funny when Mccain said his schpeal and then turned to shake her hand, only to find she had moved to his other side, so he did like a full 360 . . . hahahaa

Another thing to notice is that noone on stage really raises their hands that much . . . I think it's because Mccain can't raise them above his head, so they don't want him to seem like he's not enthusiastic.

BS, I say we will never see eye to eye because we won't, we both know that, this current administration is a joke, I can admit its probably THEE worst in the history of this country.

As far as Republicans wanting to bail out corporate america, I wouldn't say as much them as the government in general, like Chrysler in the 80's, it happens, so do the Democrats, the housing bill ring a bell that was brought by the house but Bush threatened to veto.

I was watching on cspan, no wait we switched to one of the cable news networks when she finished. But at one point they switched to a woman in the crowd and her face went from smiles to an OMG look. What made her make that look? We speculated that someone must have almost dropped the baby. Speaking of the baby, did you see when the 7 year old pushed Trig's hair back with spit on her palm. It was very funny and cute.

My favorite was in former Lt. Governor Steele's speech when he said, "In times such as these, we need a leader who will work for the public's interest, not clamor for public applause," and then he pauses for applause.

I disagree. I don't think it's impossible for us to see eye to eye. We already see eye to eye on many things, like how this current administration is a joke. Why is it impossible for us to see eye to eye...wait what are you saying we won't see eye to eye on?

edit cause I don't want 3 consecutive posts:
