Mike, you are cooler than I thought! :)
Those are some awesome bands. Lots of crust and power violence in there. Dystopia are my favorite. I used to be way into Spazz too. I saw Benumb back in the day at Chain. Good shizz! Bring your records over sometime and we will listen to some tunes. I have a bunch of those bands on vinyl as well.
Fo sho. Anoush is going to transfer all of it at his school. I told him to keep the volume down or it may make his parents and students cry!
Oh, and add Minor threat and the Descendents to the list, how could I forget them!!!!!

haha wow mike thats a ton of shit i used to have, i was super into crustcore and grind in high school i had a retardedly awesome vinyl collection back then. his hero is gone, phobia and extinction of mankind were a few of my favorite bands ever in hs. i still listen to HHIG pretty regularly, and i recently stumbled on carls new project drain the sky which is acutally pretty good from what i have heard so far. i auctioned my collection about 6 years ago. lately ive been soo regretting it, as i had lots of limited press lps.

Yes! I love me some HHIG. I never got too into Phobia though. It's all about Creation Is Crucifixion, Assuck, Kylesa, From Ashes Rise, Enewetak, Discordance Axis, Kungfu Rick, Charles Bronson, etc. :) I need to start listening to that stuff again!

For sure! Not too many people out there still listen to it. I rarely do. I need to bust out my records and give them a listen. We should all have a record listening party haha.
Did you grow up in Orange County? If so, have you heard of Crustation Nation? They were my friends' band. Although they weren't amazing, I still had the best times at their shows. Too bad it isn't like it used to be.

yeah for the most part i grew up here(which is why i liked phobia), crustation nation doesnt ring a bell off the top of my head, but its possible i saw them if they played in the late 90s at koos or at public storage.
I haven't listened to DI in YEARS. I went to a show of theres back in highschool, so its been awhile 10+ years.
Dan and Kate have WAY more indepth knowledge of the local punk scene then I could ever hope to! If you guys want to check them out, D knows where I live, right across the street from Cory......

Yeah they played Koos a lot, same with PS/Chain. I practically lived at Koos haha. Best venue ever in my eyes. I saw so many good bands there and hung out with awesome people. Here are some pics my friend took in the early 2000's. Lots of hardcore, but that was before it sucked hah.

Now you are talking my punk days. I love these bands. I also liked
MDC (Millions of Dead Cops), definitely Descendants and Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, and the comedic genius of the Dead Milkmen. You have ood taste in many shades of punk.
I am a little surprised Ed hasn't chimed in with his fav's.
Dead milkmen too, Suicidal, god the list could go on. Really, I have a very eclectic taste in music. I went from Miles Davis to Slayer earlier today at work.
Jello split with DK's along time ago and has been in lots of back and forth litigious suits against the rest of the band and vise-versa.

I have one of those usb turntables, works pretty well, I got it at circuit city believe it or not. It also had a rca in so I was able to hook up my tapedeck and record some old cassettes too.
If you're hardcore this looks good.

My favorite Fear song is "Beef Baloney" One of the greatest old-school hardcore bands ever.
Thats a great collection, I have some of those as well, Ramones, X, Meat Puppets, Oingo Boingo, Violent Femmes, and others. Great stuff.
HAHA, as for the Sig, well the older I've got, the harder I've worked for my money, and everything I own and have bought and paid for myself, the more I realized capitalism is great, so is self reliance, there is plenty of money out there for people who want to work for it, such as me.

Man, I should list some of mine. I've been collecting them since 84/5.
I've got every Black Flag, 7"
every Bad Brains
Sonic Youth (a ton)
Even have all the Rocket from the Crypt 7", including a 5" they put out.
I need to make a list, as I've probably forgotten alot of them.
