Yes scary indeed. But hell we need new technologies, we need them badly. So it's either get stuck where we are or actively trying to find solutions for our problems.
I am aware that we may unleash powers and reactions we can't control but this I prefer before Genetics.
And oh ........earth is not a disc ;)
