How many pics do you have? I might be able to host 'em for ya. Or, there's a handful of free pic hosting sites around. Try a google search.

Heheh... we noticed that too. They probably knew everyone at the GTG was waiting to watch them go up the ramp and they choked under the pressure.

The red M5 and the Lambo made a good showing getting on the freeway though.

I was surprised the owners of all these really exotic cars let everyone get so close to them. Its certainly not everyday you can get close enough to actually drool on cars like that. That was very cool of the owners to bring them out like that.

Yeah, the owner of the Porche GT was kind enough to start his car and rev it for me. I got it all on video baby! Do you guys realize that only a hand full of folks will ever get to see one of these masterpieces in person and actually hear it? Some of us poor folks are the fortunate few.

That was Andrew's car shown in the pictures above. Mine was the green 4dr. 9-3 and Tim was representing in the 9-5 at the top.

ivannachoo -- That must have been me and Andrew leaving when you were coming in. I heard there was a viggen there but did not see it. I did see the other 9-5 downstairs at the bottom of the ramp in the garage. Sorry we missed you at the show man!! Let's all get together and have a small SAAB meet soon???????

Hey dude give me some more info on your buddy's boxster. Any 1/4 or dyno numbers? my buddy said he heard the driver said he will "beat any of the cars there"(irvine)His name is Patrick and the motor is a 3.4 out of a '99 C2. No dyno or track times. After talking with Garrett, we'll probably strap it on the dyno to get a baseline before getting the ECU flashed.

As far as beating any car there, I think your buddy missunderstood me. (or someone else) The person saying that "their" car could beat anything there was the son of the guy who owned the silver V8 Lotus Esprit. Or I might've been one of us talking about my Supra. Or suggesting that he turbo charge the Boxster and then it would beat any of the cars their. All of those things were discussed.

Sorry the videos didn't turn out better. I just took them with my digital camera which doesn't focus well at night it video mode, and we weren't able to get that close either. And when we were going to shoot some from the roadside, we had the uninvited guests show up and had to keep driving.

Yup yup, it's all good though. A little bit of smooth talking and 'yes sirs, thank you sir, sorry sir." did the trick. Having an Imola S4 or TT isn't the best color to have around;)Didn't know that anyone actually got popped. Glad you were able to reason with them.

Nice pic of my car,EDM. You are partially correct. The car was first assembled in Texas by myself. I moved to Socal in late 89 and the following year hooked up with Concepts ( Roger Plante ) to redo the pickup bed area of the car. When I purchased the car it had already been cut and was not a very good job, but had the look my V8 install needed. I had planned a V8 install into a Type III since the late sixties. Roger and crew were called upon to redo all the bed and tailgate into steel. I had already installed the Olds motor and setup back in Texas. While the car was at Concepts I saw the great work he was doing on other cars and I decided to do further modifications. All were my idea except for the headlights(1937 Ford). In my opinion ( biased of course :-) ) he did and still does, excellant work.Everything has held up very well. The car was painted by Doug Starbuck as per my drawings. Like you mentioned, the car has been around for awhile ( 30,000 plus, miles ). What you don't know is that I recently purchased it back( found it on Ebay ) from selling it, 9 years ago. The car went to Arkansas,Cali,Arizona,Cali,Oregon, and now back to me :-). Now, I'm back havin fun with it. I hope this helps you to understand this car and maybe me, a little bit. PS......Concepts is in Lake Elsinore, now
