On March 16th 1996, we threw our first Bulletproof session at the old World Beat Centre in Old Town. The party simply went off till 6am. Mostly LA heads attended.
Back then we threw these sessions as promoters overlooked jungle music, to a large degree, our aim was to throw a proffesional session, have the greatest talent in Southern Cali represent and show these rave promoters we were a entity to ourselves, and Jungle could survive without the help of raves.
I really think it was the vibes and energy everyone bought to the table that night, plus we had a vision for this sound to be #1.The djs were E'SASSIN/CURIOUS?/RAW/HERETIC/JOSH SWISSMAN/RAYMOND ROKER/QUEST with SPECTR/TEZ and MC? on the mic, wicked lineup for back then and to this day.
It turns out LA's Urb magazine hailed our first session as
THE BEST JUNGLE PARTY IN AMERICA ( April 96)
To this day we're still commited to our old skool philosophy, RAISE THE STANDARD OF JUNGLE CULTURE
This location has hosted two previous events by Bulletproof, the first time we ran there was our 8 Year Anniversary on March 27th 2004.
Recently we held a session there entitled Jungle Bells, a kick of party to spark the X-Mas season of proper, on Saturday 4th December 2004. With over 500 heads in attendance, it truly was a pleasure to see everyone out.
Now its time to re-visit The Blvd for our BIG 9 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Bring the vibes, share the energy
