and u need to start doin cardio and stop wastin all yur time pushin weights around.... no sense in being strong if u cant work your body longer than 5min without gettin winded.

Huitzi - Unless you are really trying to bulk... I'd say, look at Crossfit.com. Their work outs don't require a lot of heavy machinery, and you will be in better shape than a gym rat if you follow their workouts (see the CrossFit Challenge).

I'd just buy some of the items you'd need from Big 5 or some garage sales and call it a day. Seriously. Even when I go to the gym, I am doing some sort of CrossFit workout. If you can find something to do pull-ups on, you are set.

You can never go wrong with a set of free weights and a bench.

P90X program is bad ass, if you stick with it. You don't need to spend an arm and a leg in equipment either.

yea thats what i told huitzi... the hell with spending money on gym equipment. if u know the right routines you can use gravity and your own body weight to get strong/ build stamina. but hes set on bulking up and nothing else...

If it is for bulking, home gyms aren't gonna do it...

Get a solid bench, and some dumbells, don't even bother with a bench bar... do all dumbell press. When I was bulking, I gave up on barbell presses. Went strictly with dumbell press (incline, flat, decline). I 2 rep max'd w/ 120lb dumbells (Flat press). When I tried my max at the barbell, I'm not sure what my 2 rep max would have been but it went something like... 6 x 225, 4 x 245, 3 x 265. I stopped trying after that. Before then, I had never lifted more than 225 on the bench. I was 199lbs at the time.

just go running when you wake up
and go lift @ the gym when you make free time, don't be a sucker!

Another thing though, you gotta do what you know you'll stick to. The perfect workout for bulking won't do jack squat if you can't commit to it.

So if it's the perfect workout, done once a month vs. a generally good work-out done consistently... I'd pick the generally good workout that you know you'll stick with!

Ted... You make me worry with the frequency of your references to my chonies!

yeah, people underestimate the strength of thin/skinny people. like theyre weak or something, im thin and pretty strong, im not too into weight lifting because it seems to me that injuries are more likely to happen (pushing yourself when you shouldnt). i workout at home with an excercise ball and a couple dumbells.

id like to try the thug workout......watching it made me want to yank my ears off, "dats a bizzy nigga"

why dont you and her go??

So I got some bitch titys and want to get rid of them.
Please don't tell me to jog they'll slap my face. How about dumbells?

Hulkman
06-02-2011, 01:12 AM
Yes dumbbells would be very effective. Because dumbbells are easy to perform and this is one of the best home gym eqipment and easy available at home, so do take this.
