Cheapest install is some grease monkey that loves working on cars (Monster8V). I'm only a grease monklet, so I can't help you too much. Hell, I still got a small "clank" when I turn my wheel after doing my suspension.

Depends on the shock. Koni once had a lifetime warranty but no longer offer that. Shock makers like Bilstein and Koni offer a rebuilding for around $55 per shock from their respective factories. Ship em off and wait for them to return.
Just ask your vendor what kind of warranty the shock your looking at carries.

if not, order the shocks from him and have Shawn do the install

Koni's come with a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser for the life of the car. This warranty even includes wear and tear.
