Ok! I can't possibly be the only one in Southern California (Orange County) that is frustrated with the terrible service at Shelly BMW! If anyone is considering purchasing a BMW, please DO NOT buy one from Shelly BMW! Go to Crevier BMW in Santa Ana, McKenna BMW in Norwalk or Long Beach BMW. Just go to the Better Business Bureau www.bbb.com (http://www.bbb.com) and you'll see that Shelly BMW has an F rating, Crevier has an A rating, McKenna has a BBB rating and Long Beach has a BB rating.
Let's just say, I've brought my 2004 545i in to Shelly BMW FOUR times in the past month. They refuse to repair or replace the Adaptive Headlights on my 5 series. A month ago, I noticed that the headlights would only turn right and not left. Shelly BMW gave me excuse after excuse. It was either, "it doesn't turn left at all" or "we don't know how to fix it" or "your car does turn left, but it's sooo slight that the naked eye can't tell". I called McKenna BMW for a 2nd opinion and I emailed BMW of North America for a 3rd opinion and sure enough, my headlights should swivel both ways. 'Til this day, my headlights have not been serviced.
And worse of all, Shelly BMW has an awful rental car policy. All the other dealerships give BMW loaner cars for their own customers for as long as their car is being serviced. Shelly BMW is the only one that provides a mid size Enterprise rental car. To make matters worse, Shelly BMW only pays for 1 day of the rental, and any days beyond that is the customer's responsibility. Guess what kind of rental cars I had to drive around or choose from: an old Toyota pick-up, Chrysler Sebring, Mazda Protege or a Hyundai Accent! We spent 65K on our car and these are the choices of rentals that I get... Unbelievable!
Enough venting from me... If you have had a similar bad experience like myself, please let me know. I'm trying to set up something to fight back with... I'd really appreciate your feedback. Thank you!!! Please remember to BOYCOTT SHELLY BMW!!!
