I'm getting annoyed with these pop up's ... They pop up even when im not even browsing.
I have Spybot and SpywareBlaster, but thats not helping with pop-up's.
If i got IE open, pop's will randomly popup every 10-15 mins

have you tried adaware 6.0? i use that and spybot and they work pretty well, but now that microsoft and other large internet companies use pop-ups its almost impossible to get away from them

i am using a program called "Ad-Zapper"
it eliminates pop-ups, and it tells you the URL where the pop up is from.
of course, you can turn it on or off anytime as you wish, and you can always un-zap it if it blocked down pop-ups from your favorite site.

I use a combination of Ad-Aware 6.0, Spybot Search & Destroy and the Google toolbar. The google toolbar is quite functional as I use google all the time for searches and it had a built in pop-up blocker!

I scan my computer once a week using Ad-Aware and SpyBot. I also have SpyBot's immunization enabled, as well as SpywareBlaster installed (make sure you keep it up to date). I use all these in conjunction with Mozilla Firefox since it has built-in popup blockers ... but if I have to use IE, I use the Google toolbar to block the popups. In Windows XP SP2, IE will get a built-in popup blocker which works quite nicely.

If they pop-up while you aren't browsing, that's symptomatic of spyware.
For pop-ups that occue while browsing:
IE - googlebar.
Opera - Decent, but has trouble with standards compliant sites - Non-free.
Firefox - Current geek browser of choice. Has built-in clocking, that in conjunction with adblock is nearly immunce to annoying ads.

They have a free version and a pay version. The free version has a little bar across the top that shows ads.

Lon, like Alan said, if you're getting popups while not even browsing, you have spyware programs installed on your comp. Install and scan using Ad-Aware 6 (available from Download.com). When you first open the program, CHECK FOR UPDATES BEFORE you scan. Then when the update is installed, scan away. Ad-Aware is like an anti-virus program in that it needs to update its definition files so it knows how to find the latest spyware.
Then I would do the same by downloading and installing SpyBot - Search & Destroy (also available at Download.com). When you install it, just follow the prompts and you DO want to immunize your system when you get to that point. Then just scan using SpyBot after you've scanned with Ad-Aware.
Then, the last thing you'll want to do is download and install SpywareBlaster. It's a program that prevents spyware from even being installed on your computer in the first place. It, like Ad-Aware and SpyBot, needs to be updated on a regular basis. So make sure you keep it up to date to prevent the installation of anything malicious.
After all that, you might want to consider using Mozilla Firefox instead of IE. I was sceptical at first, but now there's no turning back; I just love it.

Pop up Stopper (http://www.panicware.com/index.html)
try this one, and use the adaware as well to scan your computer. panicware will automatically close all popups. just turn it off before going to vwvortex cuz you won't get any IM's at all.
