OMG I want to ditch work tomorrow and hit up Bear and Summit!!! But I've got a freaking report due on Friday to my boss and snow chains are required, including 4x4!!! ACK!

Anybody try SnoBootz (http://www.snobootz.com/)? I need to get some snow chains or some shiz for this winter! These look safe (spendy though, like $200 a pair!)

If you're Pathfinder has the same size tires as the Touareg, I have chains.

Not to be a bad influence or anything. :p

I drove up to Palomar Mtn. today and it was absolutely gorgeous. Although I would definitely not go w/o chains .... I had 4x4 + no chains in my FJ , but still a bit scary. ha Absolute white out up there. My girl and I were able to do one quick sled run and let the dog run around, but we were done after that. :p

We saw two other trucks up there :tup2: both of which had chains and snow shovels up front (they were clearing the road)

Those snoboots look sweet, but they don't make em in a 285/55/20. grrrr. I need cables for the snowboard season too.

Hmmmm... I don't know the exact size, but they are 17's for sure; something like 265/60 or something.

In any case, I plan on working my ass off tonight and see where I get with the report. Maybe I can make it up on Friday or Saturday!

Where to buy chains/cables locally anywaysies? I bought some at WalMart back in 1999 for my MK4 GTi, but I refuse to shop at WalMart these days...

Wow, if Palomar is scary, Bear Mtn has to be awesome! All roads up/down the mountain are closed in both ways. Bear Blog said it's freaking awesome up there right now because there's hardly anyone on the mountain and fresh POWDER, which never happens in SoCal mountains.

Why oh why did I procrastinate on this report!?!?!?!

So I'm lame and I'm still working on this hellish report. Got 24 hours to complete it! Looks like I'll be missing this storm. I'm not going to local mountains this weekend to see it all wrecked.

I heard another storm was coming on Monday... maybe I'll be spending Tuesday at the slopes!
