Is there a way we can add a spell check module to this new code, or is it all pretty much bundled as-is? I'm not saying I need the spell check so much as some other "grammatical offenders" that frequent this site. ;)

We should administer a grammar test, you know, like a "You must be this literate to post on these forums"? :D

Actually its not okay to type like that and you pretty much beg for ridecule if you make it common practice.... but I think a spell check is one of those tools that is a little useless on a forum site.

Just role with the phonetic punches and hope for the best. I know there are spell checkers out there that can be integrated but I honestly don't think its worth it. The people who really need it probably wouldn't use it.

Good point ... and it's "roll", not "role" like in your second paragraph. :D

Naturally, ncttrnl did that intentionally just to prove a point.

If the PHP web server is configurable, then here's one there's sPHPspell (http://sourceforge.net/projects/sphpell/), JavaScript checker using hidden window using PHP spell checker.

This means you have to install the PHP modules aspell and pspell, hence needing the PHP web server to be configurable.

This is probably as low priority as a feature request can get.

Like I said, I know there are things out there that can be integrated but this is just not a critical enhancement. Sorry but maybe when everything else works we can revisit this.

Or even better, let's not revisit it at all. :D

I agree. There doesnt need to be any additional features ... the basic forum is all that is really needed.
