I have a 99' Beetle GLS which Audi TT shifter do I get the part #? Also what tools do I need to do the swap and do I need to make any adjustments after making the swap thanks alot

Hmm... The TT short shifter fits the Golf and Jetta as per www.parts4vws.com (Potterman's), but not the Beetle.
Where did you read/hear that it would fit?

the 99 is a 5 spd, so you need the 5 spd TT shifter

Yea I know I need the 5 speed shifter but there are two part #'s one with an A at the end and one without? Also how much work is it to do yourself?

its not much work at all, i did find out with the early MKIV 99 jettas that they take the MKIII short shifter not the newer cast piece, btw, really easy to install, but if you get sloppy it might take a few to adjust it.

That one... without the A. Didn't think they fit, but it's good to know they do!
