Do you live in National City by chance? (off Briarwood)

Duh.

I'm more curious about the background, was that shot like that or was all the blur added later?

Thanks everyone!!! As for the shot...the photographer asked not to reveal how the shot was done...trade secrets I guess...But it is one of my favorites!!!

Duh.

if I was to replicate that shot, I'd put the car in motion, get the original shot with the lights in the bg. then you drop the shot into PS and you take only the points where the light is touching the car and you clone them outward.

a little blur effect and some messing with the color levels and saturation and you're golden.

Or, if you're lazy, you trace around the top half of the car and copy the upper part of the bg only. You copy and paste it on top and you use the smudge tool to smudge the bg of the car from the car outward. w/ the right brush size and the right options checked (layers) you're golden.

Sorry if I'm "blowing a trade secret"

If anyone wants to convince paul to get the original shot I might do the post production.

Manny,

Thanks for the props!!

Anthony,

Well be out to the GTG soon...work has just been pretty hectic lately. Sorry I didn't return your call...I'll hit you up soon..

Alan_One,

Interesting idea...but your not even close!! LOL I wish I could spill the beans. It's real fun hearing how people think we got the shot.
