i think i need a new tranny

friday the car goes in.........my brother is a tech (not vw) and he had the tranny tech at his dealer take my car for a spin to see if he could diagnose (since the dealer could not replicate the problem :confused: ) and he said i might have a bad syncro and/or shift fork.........well yesterday reverse went out..........the car clunks into gear but its random----my car is still under warranty so i hope all is taken care with no expense outta my pocket
anyone here have their tranny replaced by vw?

I though everybody with an MKIV had to replace their trannys :confused: I had 3 put in mine, and even under warranty they didn't want to replace it. They looked at my brand new suspension and new rims and tint and said it was abuse, before they even put it on the rack. I had to sue them to get a tranny and they still didn't get it right. Finally the 3rd time it blew up they got some big honcho from VW of Germany to come watch the guys replace all my shit, they took pictures, and engraved every peice that went into the car....funny how it hasn't even grinded a gear since ;)

I hope you don't have to experience what I did!

yeah, me too..........i want it done right once, i didnt pay over 20k for a peice of crap!!!
