Hey guys - I'm new to this forum. I already searched this topic, and came up with nothing. I really want to get some smoked out emblems for my MKIV jetta. I don't want to paint them. I've seen some places to buy some for earlier models, but none for the MKIV. Do you guys know where I can locate some?

Hey Bugzy-

I know most people paint them. I would rather not paint the front one, because I figure rocks would chip the hell out of it. Plus, I don't know how good of a job I could do painting them with spray paint, and I don't want it to look ghetto, ya know? If all else fails, I will paint them. Just though I would check first.

I'm in Encinitas.

Thanks for the suggested pages. I tried both, and still no luck. They have black emblems for the Jetta III and lower. I appreciate the help though!

wait, i just realized that the Golf's key hole for the trunk is by the handle, the Jetta's is in the emblem. The front should fit though.

I have a front Black badge that you can have. I bought a rieger RS4 front bumper and I have no need for my front black badge anymore, it will fit both the mk4 jetta and golf/gti. Buy me a 20 case of bud light and its yours.

I KNOW!! That's what I really would like to do, except its a little more expensive than just an emblem. Good call though!

here is a little trick.... (what i did.. not whillingly.. but i got lucky)

Change ur Comprehensive in ur Ins. to have a "0" deductable...
have some one throw a brick at ur car right at the emblem area in the back..
Call the INS., report it and take it to youe body shop... ask them if they can just shave it off and not worry about putting another emblem on.
Make sure its a shop that does hot rods or custom stuff...

My shop was like "sure.. not a problem"

thus for im shaved :)

but u didnt here that from me...
