OK, i am thinking about getting a turbo system for my gti. I noticed when looking that they all talk about using the 93 octane gasoline. If i were to get a turbo..... is that the only type of gas i should use? Can i use the 87 octane and just not get as much power or whats the deal with that?

I know even a chip demands premium gas, so I'd assume a turbo would need premium to run optimally.
You have a VR6 though, shouldn't you already be running premium? :p

QUE? haha.
seriously you should already be using 91. only gardeners pickups should use that 87 camel piss. assuming the turbo would come as a kit, you would have to change software for the lower octane gas and dial the boost back a bit to keep from grenading your motor under boost. Isn't custom performance fun?
